My Morning Routine During this Corona Virus Pandemic

My Morning Routine During this Corona Virus Pandemic

This Coronavirus Lockdown has become the game-changer in my life. I am able to differentiate the person I was before two months and the person I am today.  Embarking a further step during this pandemic, I have been able to emphasize my time on my development.

Experiencing the boredom for many days, I came to understand the benefit of my growth. With the sense to share what I have learned and what I am doing, I believe it would be beneficial for you as well.

Why Should I Bother Sharing My Experience to You?

Well, I love the saying “Ideas Worth Spreading”.

Though it may not bring a groundbreaking change at the first in you, I can assure you that it actually works. You can empower your life by refueling the motivation that is within you at the very start of the day. A small change in you is the reason you see big results in the future.

Without further due, Let’s dive into my morning routine, shall we?

My Morning Ritual

This is my past morning schedule. Due to the coronavirus, I have had to change a bit, which I would like to discuss below.

Also, I would highly encourage you to create a morning routine so you can stay focused from the first minute of your day.

Commencing My Day with Morning Rituals

“Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most.”

Buddha

After 7 hours of sleeping, it’s time to wake up at 6. There is a popular saying that “Morning Shows the Day”, which is why I make my bed as soon as I wake up.  It makes me feel that I have achieved something with the beginning of the day.

After my refreshment, I find myself in the center of my journal.

Journaling and To-Do Lists

Keeping Journal has made me realize the importance of my development as well as has raised my self-awareness. Even more, having a sense of gratitude and writing it on paper makes me feel wonderful. This reminds me of the movie Life is Beautiful and I feel that I don’t want to miss even a single second of my life.

I go through the to-do lists that I had prepared the earlier day and make a Time blocking chart. This really helps me to keep me with my daily goals and stay on track.

As per RescueTime, Time blocking is the practice of planning out every moment of your day in advance and dedicating specific time “blocks” for certain tasks and responsibilities. While a standard to-do list tells you what you need to do, time blocking tells you when you’re going to do it.

Time Blocking Format

These to-do lists are just a small part of my yearly goals but are the most effective ones for my growth. These golden goals have the power to enrich me for a prosperous life. With this positive mentality, I choose to accept all the Challenges Being a Millennial and move on.

“Documenting little details of your everyday life becomes a celebration of who you are.”

Carolyn V. Hamilton

Exercise and Meditation

I don’t want to miss the opportunity to magnify my health. So, it’s time for some exercise and meditation.

The 15-minute exercise helps me out to become proactive and enhance my physical fitness.

Consequently, I do meditation for about 15 minutes. During the past few days, I have even expanded my meditation time to around 20 minutes.

As profound as it is, practicing meditation has brought more effective changes in me than I thought it could. I am able to discover my potential and live my life with the fullest. The most significant part is that I am able to concentrate on every section of my surroundings which is helping me to remain self alert.

Notably, I am able to observe the positive impact of doing regular exercise and meditation.

I found this as a medium to Know Better About Myself.

Practicing meditation has benefitted me immensely and would love to recommend you to do the same.

Jogging

Life was boring for me during normal days. I didn’t want to explore the outer world as  I was always busy with the gadgets I have.

Whoever knew that this pandemic could bring such a productive change in me?

I have started jogging. While jogging I find myself pitched into the serendipity of nature. Listening to birds chirping and allowing myself to flow with the smooth movement of fresh air makes me feel linked with nature. Furthermore, refreshing my old memories with the smell of raw soils has now become the source of my happiness.

It has made me feel connected to the world, nature where I live.

“I’ve turned into one of those people who go jogging in parks that I used to hate.”

Sam Taylor-Johnson

Face the Mirror and Laugh

Morning is the perfect time to face yourself. What do you do facing the mirror?

I don’t know about you, but I laugh. I laugh out loud with a sense of success. I dare to challenge myself. I go for self-talk and discover even more about me.

Science claims that laughing releases endorphin hormone that helps to keep our immune system stronger. I visualize my day over there and get back to my room to make those accepted challenges come true. Investing in Yourself is the smart move you ever do for your growth.

And as a result, I have been able to make it happen.

To explore the best part of me, I don’t consider myself to be too strict.  It reminds me of Steve Job’s saying while facing the mirror. “What if today had been my last day?” I then promise myself, I am here to contribute to the world and even if today is my last day, I will do something that can benefit others in a positive way.

This was all about my Morning Routine.

The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.”

I’ve considered creating a morning routine a million times but never actually created one and I know that’s terrible. Creating and sticking to a routine when you live with your family and have no actual sense of privacy is challenging but I’m ready going to try to make a change beginning today….Again thank you so much, I think your routine is amazing.

    1. Pro Investivity

Indeed, creating a morning routine becomes way too difficult when you live with your family due to a lack of privacy. I’m glad that you are going to make a change starting from today.
Thank you for your warm compliment. I’d still like to improve on my routine though.
Till then, take care, E Omah. 🙂

  2. Excellent piece of art I must say. I like your blog, the design, the content, and the way you articulated different ideas in a very subtle manner. Good going gentlemen.

Well said! A routine is very sound advice in these times, as once the routine is set- it takes more willpower to break it than to follow it.

Yeah, sure, haha! I’m sure laughing in the morning will do wonders in your life.

  9. I absolutely love this post. Having a morning and evening routine is essential to making the nest of your time. I love list, goal setting, time blocking and especially love journaling. I’ve been journaling since third grade. It’s a great way to track your journey, retrospection and growth. You hit on everything that I would have. My morning routine is pretty much the same. Having a morning routine definitely shapes your day and encourages more productivity🤗 I also make my bed first thing otherwise my day would totally be thrown off. Lol.

    1. Pro Investivity

I cannot agree with you more, Jacuqeline!
It’s absolutely critical that we have a morning and evening routine!
I’m glad that you are able to relate this so much with your own life.
Haha, even making a bed gives us small sense of accomplishment, doesn’t it? 🙂

  10. mymindspeaksaloud

This is a really great morning routine! It’s so important to start the day off great, to encourage productivity, happiness and a sense of peace throughout the day. I also write a “things to do” list that I check off throughout the day, and I have recently been doing a bit of yoga each morning too. It’s certainly difficult to stick to a routine, but I think once you feel how wonderful the benefits are, it makes you want to continue.

    1. Pro Investivity

      Thanks a lot!
Absolutely right! It indeed is really important.
I’m glad you keep a to-do list as well.
Hmm.. yoga! How is it going?

      1. mymindspeaksaloud

It’s going well! I’ve actually been doing yoga for a while (just not in the mornings). since around last September – 2/3 times a week – and it’s been one of the greatest decisions I’ve made! It’s so beneficial for both mental & physical health 😊

        1. Pro Investivity

Wow! It’s great to know how beneficial yoga has turned out to be, for you. I’m also thinking about adding yoga to my morning routine.. Lets see.
          Have a good day! 🙂

          1. mymindspeaksaloud
